I am a former Assistant Director of Admissions at Rutgers University in New Jersey and former Dean of Admissions in the Vermont State College system.
For almost 20 years, I have consulted both professionally and independently with U.S. and international high school students and their parents, as well as college students headed for graduate school. In my time at Rutgers, I worked with students from 130 different countries with vastly differing cultures and academic systems.
My experience working with students from such widely varying backgrounds has shown me that young people everywhere share the same dream: To live a productive, fulfilling, and financially stable adulthood. So my goal is to help students do exactly that.
My personal passion is helping young people understand the kind of citizen, scholar, creator, contributor, and thinker they can become. Helping parents sort through piles of college information and misinformation and scary cost analyses? Yes, I love doing that, too.
Together with my deep knowledge of elite public and private college admissions, I am uniquely qualified to help students of every background -- near or far -- achieve their dreams and put their own kind of good into the world.
I recently visited Oxford University, the London School of Economics and Politics (upper left), Trinity College-Dublin, Royal Holloway-University of London. Recent visits also include Nebraska Wesleyan, University of Iowa, Grinnell College (Iowa), Knox College, and Rosalind Franklin Medical School (North Chicago).
